I can never think of rookies the same anymore. I mean i have nothing against these rookies at all, im happy they are going for their dreams and will possibly and most likely be debuting soon. But really, the Rookie days of Super Junior, TVXQ, Girls Generation, SHINee and F(x) were classic. I remember watching, reading, and hearing how difficult their Trainee days were, since SM was still fairly “new” or growing at least, they had to do more than just train, they had to clean the windows, the floors, the mirrors, change the lights, etc. They had to make themselves known. When they debuted people didnt know or care who they were, they had to yell in the streets saying “We are Girls Generation!” “We are Super Junior!” etc. SM was not able to extensively promote them at that time. The Hallyu wave was hardly created at the time. It’s just to me i can never think the Rookies of today would understand how the Rookies before them suffered, i assume the Rookies of today of course work genuinely hard, but i just doubt it tis the same as before. I will always respect the original SM Trainees the most. Of course i will keep my eye out on these Rookies, but i still cannot respect them the same way as i do for the originals.
